Dr. Todd Asarch, DDS
Prior to attending dental school, Dr. Todd Asarch attended the University of Arizona in Tucson, AZ. After attending the University of Arizona, Dr. Asarch went to the University of Texas Dental School at Houston. Dr. Asarch spent four years as required to graduate with the title of Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS). Knowing that training and specializing in children was what he wanted, Dr. Asarch attended the University of Nebraska where he received his specialist's degree in Pediatric Dentistry. This training encompasses growth and development, child philosophy, behavior management, sedations, hospital dentistry, treatment of traumatic injuries, treating patients with special needs, and specialized areas unique to younger children and adolescents.

Dr. Charles "Charlie" Coulter, DDS
Dr. Charles Coulter attended University of Maryland and received his undergraduate degree in Neurophysiology and Biology. He continued at University of Maryland, Baltimore and received his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree. While attending UMB he was awarded the Humanitarian award for his work with children in the community. Dr. Charlie always knew he wanted to work with children, after completing his residency he received the specialist degree in Pediatric Dentistry.
Dr. Charlie worked with Children’s Dentistry in York, Pennsylvania and The Dental Studio in Baltimore, Maryland before joining Children’s Dentistry of Dawsonville. Dr. Charlie is a member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry and American Dental Association.
In his free time Dr. Charlie loves to play golf. He also enjoys movies, and spending time with friends and family. He loves working with children of all ages and will ensure that your visit will be a very positive one for both you and your children. His upbeat and caring personality will enable your child to feel comfortable when coming to the dentist for a cleaning or treatment.

Dr. Carlos Garza, DDS
Dr. Carlos Garza began his healthcare career, while a college student, as an Anesthesia Technician. He received a Bachelor of Science in Cardiovascular Perfusion Technology from Hahnemann University, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and worked in cardiac surgery, in New York, for the next 7 years.
In 2006, Dr. Garza received his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree, Cum Laude, from State University of New York at Buffalo, School of Dental Medicine. While in dental school, he helped found and served as the first President of the Hispanic Student Dental Association Buffalo Chapter. He also volunteered at Special Olympics' Special Smiles and Children's Hospital of Buffalo.
Dr. Garza's pediatric dentistry clinical experience included operating room procedures, sedations and craniofacial clinics. Upon completing the pediatric dental residency program at the University of Rochester's Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester, NY, Dr. Garza joined Children's Dentistry of Woodstock.

Dr. John Haffner, DMD
Dr. John J. Haffner grew up in Alpharetta, Georgia where he attended Milton High School. He graduated from Florida State University with a degree in Business in 1998. He then went on to attend the Medical College of Georgia where he earned his degree in dentistry. After graduating from dental school, Dr. Haffner was accepted into the graduate program for Pediatric Dentistry at Virginia Commonwealth University. While there he earned his certificate in Pediatric Dentistry as well as a Masters of Science in Dentistry. During his residency training Dr. Haffner received extensive training in oral sedation, general anesthesia, growth and development, and behavior management.
Dr. Haffner is active member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, American Dental Association, Georgia Dental Association, Virginia Society of Pediatric Dentistry, and the Southeastern Society of Pediatric Dentistry.

Dr. Daniel Kerlan, DDS
Dr. Daniel Kerlan attended Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia where he graduated with honors and received a Bachelor of Arts degree in English. While in Atlanta, Dr. Kerlan participated extensively in volunteer work at Children’s Hospital of Atlanta -Egleston. He attended Dental School at the University of Tennessee where he graduated with honors. Dr. Kerlan completed a two-year post-doctoral residency in general dentistry at Ohio State University. He served as chief resident during his second year. Dr. Kerlan worked in a private practice for two years while completing his pediatric specialty training at Children’s Hospital in Buffalo, New York. Dr. Kerlan is a member of the American Dental Association, the American Association of Dental Research and the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry.
In his spare time, Dr. Kerlan participates in music, sports, and the arts. He also enjoys spending time with friends and family.

Dr. Sue Lee, DDS
Dr. Lee was born in Seoul, South Korea. At age 9, her family moved to the States and settled in the New York City area where she spent most of her life. She attended Binghamton University in upstate New York and graduated in 1999 with a bachelor’s degree in biology. Although dentistry was her original plan, she decided to try a different career before continuing on with her education. Dr. Lee worked as a business consultant for Accenture, a major consulting firm, for 4 years before pursuing her career in dentistry.
Afterwards, she attended New York University College of Dentistry where she was an active member of the Korean Dental Association and the Pediatric Dentistry Honors program. She also participated in an international outreach mission to bring dentistry to the underserved people in a rural village in India. After receiving her degree from NYU, Dr. Lee continued on to obtain her pediatric dentistry training at Albert Einstein College of Medicine, Montefiore Medical Center in the Bronx, NY. As part of her residency program, she worked at Rose F. Kennedy Center to obtain additional training to provide dentistry to special needs patients using various behavior management techniques such as intra-venous sedation and general anesthesia.
Dr. Lee is a member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry and the American Dental Association. In her spare time, she enjoys attending concerts, watching Broadway shows and movies. She also loves to travel the world and spend time with her friends, family her cat, Samson.

Dr. Menka Malhotra, DMD
Dr. Menka Malhotra was born in Chicago, IL. Upon graduation from high school, she was accepted into an Accelerated 7-year Bio-dental Program. She graduated with a Bachelors of Arts in Pre-Dental Sciences in 2002 from Lehigh University in Bethlehem, PA. She attended the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine in Philadelphia, PA and received her Doctor of Medical Dentistry degree in 2006.
Upon completion of dental school, Dr. Malhotra completed a one-year General Practice Residency at Bronx-Lebanon Hospital, NY in 2007, in which she treated both pediatric and adult patients. She continued her pediatric training for 2 years at Bronx-Lebanon Hospital and received her certificate of Pediatric Dentistry in 2009. During her training, she focused on providing comprehensive dental care for children, including conscious sedation, general anesthesia, and management of special needs patients. Additionally, she was Chief Resident of the Pediatric Dentistry training program.
She is currently Board Eligible in the field of Pediatric Dentistry. Upon graduation, Dr. Malhotra relocated to Atlanta, GA. She is very excited to be part of the team at Children’s Dentistry of Woodstock.
Dr. Malhotra is currently an active member of the American Dental Association and American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry. Her hobbies include music, reading, spending time with family and friends, traveling, and exploring Atlanta.

Dr. Kasie Nam, DDS
Dr. Nam was born in Korea, grew up in Hawaii and attended school in Indiana. In 1998, she received a BS in biology from Indiana University, followed by a DDS degree from Indiana University School of Dentistry in 2002. After graduating from dental school, she decided to move to sunny Arizona to participate in an Advanced Education in General Dentistry program where she mostly treated children and adults in a public health setting. She then remained in Arizona for 7 more years in a group practice where she provided comprehensive dental care to patients of all ages. Dr. Nam's dental passion is in treating children. She has been involved with variety of dental charities where she treated children in underserved communities.
Outside of dentistry, Dr. Nam loves to read, watch foreign films, travel, run, do yoga, play golf and snowboard.

Dr. Jina Yoo, DDS
Dr. Jina Yoo or “Dr. Jina” as the children refer to her, joins our dental family after having completed her pediatric specialty training at the University of Maryland Dental School in June of 2004. Being one of seven children, pediatric dentistry was a natural choice for Dr. Yoo. Originally from the northern Virginia area, Dr. Yoo completed her undergraduate collegiate studies at Virginia Commonwealth University. She then attended The Medical College of Virginia accomplishing her dental degree in 1999. While a dental student, Dr. Yoo was active with the American Student Dental Association and various community outreach programs. After dental school, she advanced her training by completing a General Practice Residency at The Ohio State University Dental School in 2001. While in the program, Dr. Yoo focused her care on hospital dentistry, special needs patients, and children. She continued her love of working w ith children working in a local Columbus, Ohio pediatric dental practice for one year. From there, she proceeded to the pediatric dental residency at The University of Maryland.
Dr. Yoo is currently a member of the American Dental Association, the American Association of Pediatric Dentistry, and the Maryland Association of Pediatric Dentistry. Outside of dentistry, Dr. Jina has many interests including her love of the arts (she is a classical guitar player), traveling to new and exciting places, and spending time with her family.
